CAST AWAY!!!

At the suggestion of my Herbal Medicine professor, Bevin Clare, I decided to do a pregnant belly casting as part of this blog project. This is a great way to commemorate our journey. Above, my friend Lara preps the plaster strips.
Lara is placing strips strategically and the cast is solidifying...
The cast is solidified and about to be set out to continue drying... And we couldn't resist casting Lara's arm & hand since we had extra materials! The casts will dry thoroughly and then we will eventually sand and paint them...
Meanwhile, Dad is at the homefront diligently figuring out car seat basics for installation.... :o)
At almost 39 weeks, we are feeling ready to greet our Little One outside the womb whenever s/he decides it is time! In the meantime, we have been busying ourselves prepping and also remembering to take time to enjoy Nature and some quiet time together outside while waiting...
Remember to enjoy the quiet moments!

Greetings! Well, at 38 weeks pregnant, everything is going smoothly. The rain has finally broken and we are enjoying a spell of sunny summer! I am grateful to have had a happy, healthy pregnancy with an active baby reminding me of our journey together! I've had normal "side effect symptoms" (the lovely bouts of hemorrhoids and carpal tunnel and restless legs), which also remind me to stay fit and grateful for this strong body to cary me and Baby through a wholesome pregnancy. As you may or may not be able to see from the pictures, the baby has definitely dropped further into the birth canal and is readying for the birthing process. This leaves a little more room up top for mama to breathe and a little less heartburn, while at the same time presses more on the bladder and causes (even more) trips to the restroom! My friend Lara's garden (above) is tall and leggy and blooming away after all the rain and the new sun coming out to shine on us. It is a beautiful time ot sit out and enjoy Nature and her gifts of summertime.

ENJOY!!!! :)

35 week glamour shots!

We had a wonderful time at a professional preggo photo shoot on Sunday with Jeff & Tali Perez, courtesy of our friends Mike & Sandy O'Shea. The experience was fun, and tiring! We could never be fashion models, even if I was taller and thinner!

Due to copyright restrictions I cannot paste any pics here, so please check the site out! We took some pics outside on a beautiful sunny breezy day, as well as in the studio.

Enjoy!
